| This is FABULOUS !!!! From a New Jersey estate straight from the "Door Knocker" to me -- About 11 1/2 across and 83/4 inches tall with the handles - the bowl is 8 inches across -- wonderful Celtic serpents intertwine around the rim pp creatures on the handles and 4 decorative units around the base --- Never monogrammed or engraved -- marked on the bottom with the winged S - sterling - 434D -- and 5 pt --- the interior of the bowl is gilt -- one small dimple that can be felt rather than seen -- This is the same model as shown in the article " ARTISTIC WARES OF GEORGE W. SHIEBLER, SILVERSMITH " in Antiques Magazine in June, 1995 by Zapata and Soeffing -- the article shows sketches in the scrapbook of Albert F Saunders - designer for Shiebler - that match the decorations on the loving cup -- Please check the photos -- this is a treasure !! | ||
