| Great, heavy cast bronze Hannukah menorah from Galacia ( Hungary, Poland, Soviet Union, Ukraine at various times 19th and 20th centuries ) This example is unusual in that it has 2 larger candle holders attached -- one for the shammos - the other used also to make two for the Sabbath --The back design reminds me of papercuts of the period -- the sides also remind me of buildings - synagogue ? - The books call these 18th to 19th century - I'm sure this one is at least 19th C -- all in super condition --- there are 4 cups for candles or oil -- obviously there are 4 missing --- it should be fairly easy to have replacements cast -- we can have that done if you like -- many of our clients prefer to do their own restorations -- I'm including 2 photo from a book on Judaic Bronzes -- Very Very similar and one virtually identical backs with variations in other areas -- overall this Menorah is about 9 X 11 1/2 inches -- feel free to email questions -- please check the photos | ||
