| This is a DRAMATIC LOS CASTILLO Figural Brooch with a Carved Agate Face and 3 Round Bezelled Green Cabachon Stones. LOS CASTILLO has made some of the most UNUSUAL MEXICAN FIGURAL JEWELRY and this is One. Inspired from Aztec History this is made of HEAVY 980 SILVER 2 1/4" tall X 2 5/8" at the widest point. Back reads: 980/ LOS CASTILLO/ TAXCO/ MADE IN MEXICO/ 404. Note the Double Pin Catch with Clutches; a standard crossover pin could be added ...next owner's option. Condituiion is EXCELLENT with only wear from normal luse/ no abuse. Circa 1950 to '65 and perhaps earlier with the 980 mark. HARD TO FIND Piece and rates a SUPERLATIVE All the Way. | |||||||||
