This is a tall and handsome classical pouch ewer from the Liao dynasty(907-1125). It is of museum quality standing on a splay foot rim with recessed base rising upwards to a slander bulging side body with a long vertical spout with straight mouth rim and a rounded pinched handle. The whole pouch ewer is coated with dark amber glaze on a white colour slip stopping short of the splay foot rim showing the reddish colour stoneware. This is a very beautiful and finely potted Qing dynasty famille noir mille fleurs (Thousand Flowers) plate. It is painted very densely with shades of enameled pink, yellow, blue, brown, white and green with multitude of flowers and plants.
