A lovely pair of yellow gold Victorian earrings with a beautiful blue enamel and seed pearl decoration. The reverse of the earrings shows the thoughtfulness of the jeweler who placed the enamel as a separate element to be unscrewed if it or the earring itself needs repair. Each earring contains 5 seed pearls and weighs 3.3 grams, and is 1 3/4" in length. The condition is very good. Circa 1870

A wonderful and unusual 8 pointed star pin; one of my personal favorites. The skill and talent of the jewelers at the turn of the century thrills and amazes me. This pin is a case in point as the 4 point diamond star can be turned to reveal a second color of enamel underneath!! Blue with slight tinges of green changes to a fiery red and orange. A very fine Victorian yellow gold and red enamel watch pin centering a glistening 0.15 carat old european cut diamond,approximately H/SI. The swirling design is covered in a chestnut red hard enamel and chased gold tassels. It retains both the original pin latch and watch pin and is marked 14kt. A wonderful old European cut diamond starburst brooch which is convertible to a pendant by a loop which folds down when not in use. Additionally, the pin back is detachable which allows the piece to lay flat when worn as a pendant. It is silver over gold, typical of the time period before the use of platinum to set diamonds, and is backed in gold for strength.
