The Victorians loved the combination of garnets highlighted with the shimmer of diamonds and this beautiful bangle is an exceptional example. This alluring 18kt gold, almandine garnet and diamond bracelet is circa 1860 and probably French in origin. 1860,yet oh so modern! A lovely pair of yellow gold Victorian earrings with a beautiful blue enamel and seed pearl decoration. The reverse of the earrings shows the thoughtfulness of the jeweler who placed the enamel as a separate element to be unscrewed if it or the earring itself needs repair. Each earring contains 5 seed pearls and weighs 3.3 grams, and is 1 3/4" in length. The condition is very good. Circa 1870

A wonderful and unusual 8 pointed star pin; one of my personal favorites. The skill and talent of the jewelers at the turn of the century thrills and amazes me. This pin is a case in point as the 4 point diamond star can be turned to reveal a second color of enamel underneath!! Blue with slight tinges of green changes to a fiery red and orange. The swirling design is covered in a chestnut red hard enamel and chased gold tassels. It retains both the original pin latch and watch pin and is marked 14kt.
