Reverse carved and painted crystals are wonderful and when done as well as this, are little paintings you can wear! This technique of carving a domed crystal from the backside and painting it from the back (in reverse!), was discovered in 1860 and became quite popular through the 1930s. The ring is a wide style band consisting of three ridges tapering slightly from 12mm to 11.50 mm with a comfort fit finish on the inside.
