A very fine Victorian yellow gold and red enamel watch pin centering a glistening 0.15 carat old european cut diamond,approximately H/SI. The swirling design is covered in a chestnut red hard enamel and chased gold tassels. It retains both the original pin latch and watch pin and is marked 14kt. The pin weighs 6.2 grams and measures just over 1" in diameter. The condition is excellent. Circa 1900

A wonderful old European cut diamond starburst brooch which is convertible to a pendant by a loop which folds down when not in use. Additionally, the pin back is detachable which allows the piece to lay flat when worn as a pendant. It is silver over gold, typical of the time period before the use of platinum to set diamonds, and is backed in gold for strength.
