Paul Jacoulet Title: Le Mandarin Aux Lunettes, Mandchoukuo Date: 1950 Size: Approximately 17 x 14 inches - Bears Jacoulet's Mandarin duck seal with pencil signature. Seals of carver (Maeda Kentaro)and printer (Uchikawa Matashiro) seals. Numbered 197/350 on verso. - Mandarin With Glasses is highlighted with mica, and crushed pink pearls were used to color the glasses. To fully appreciate these details, I recommended allowing us to e-mail you a high resolution tiff file taken by Robert Watson Photography, Toronto. Unframed. Stored in a tube for years and, as such, the print tends to curl and has some light creasing mainly confined to the margins but the color is spectacular, and it will frame nicely. Some toning at margins and verso. |
