This rose medallion vase is 12 inches tall. It has foo dog handles and dragons done in relief. It has the common scene of mandarins shown in various settings. It is circa 1870. There is a very small shallow chip on the bottom, otherwise it is in perfect condition.

These beautifully decorated covered jars are 10 ¼ inches tall including the lids. They The jars have each been decorated with four panels with two having bamboo and two having flowers with butterflies flying overhead. The blue is underglaze with all the other colors over the glaze. There is a liberal use of gold in decorating the jars. The jars are very good quality. This bronze vase is 15 inches high. It has highly raised waves on the side and also sculpted birds done in relief. The top of the vase is done in a type of drip method where drips are portrayed as coming down from the lip of the vase. The vase is unsigned. We date it to the Meiji period (1868-1912). There is no damage.

This pair of 3 sided vases is 11 inches tall. They are depicted with natural scenes on each side. One side of the vase shows two birds with their wings extended flying around the flowers on a dogwood tree limb. Another scene shows a bird, maybe a kingfisher over a lily pad and other plants in a pond setting. The third scene shows two birds, probably cranes feeding in a pond setting among some cattails. This antique censer is 5 ¾ inches across and 5 ¼ inches tall to the top. There are mythical beasts portrayed as handles and the same mythical beast on the top. Maybe it is a dragon or a fu lion, we can not tell. The piece is some type of hardstone, maybe serpentine or bowenite. It is not jade. We believe the piece is 19th century or possibly early 20th. It came from the estate of an antiques dealer that had many fine things. There is no damage to this piece.

This blue and white bowl is 6 inches in diameter and 2 ½ inches high. The bowl is hand painted with shrimp around the outside. This is the only bowl we have seen with this design. There are X and O’s near the lip of the bowl on the outside. The bowl has a deep footrim. The bowl is a little out of round. There is a white wax China export stamp on the bottom of the bowl. We believe the bowl dates to the 18th century. There is no damage.

This charming pair of ivory carvings is of an old man holding a rake and an old woman holding a broom. The man is just over 2 inches tall and the woman is 2 inches tall. The couple is Jo and Uba, who are the spirits of the trees that were grown in Kakasago and Sumiyoshi. The carvings are decorated with textile patterns on their garments. This is 6 Chinese sauce dishes. They date to the late Qing/early Republic period. These are a type of Kitchen Qing or peoples ware. The dishes are approximately 5 ½ inches in diameter and 1 inch tall. They are painted with various types of flowers on the top. 5 of the 6 are marked and several have wax Chinese export marks. One of them has a small chip on the edge and another one has a hairline of one-half inch. There are some rim frits from when they were made.
