SOLD 

This sterling bowl has repousse decoration of various types of flowers on a stippled background. It is 7 5/8 inches in diameter and 3 ¼ inches high. It weighs 14 ounces. It was made by S Kirk & Sons, a leading silver manufacturer of the late 19th century. It is monogrammed and we think the letters are TW. Though if read upside down it could be ML. SOLD 

This 13 ½ inch charger depicts 5 roosters of various colors and shapes. They are situated among various types of flowers. There are ruyi heads around the edge of the charger. The back of the charger has a bamboo decoration. The charger is 2 inches high. We date it to the late 19th century. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is wear to some of the enamels.

This Yixing teapot is 7 ¼ inches long, 4 ½ inches high and 4 ½ inches deep. The handle of the lid looks like a root with some peaches and a bat. The handle of the teapot has what looks like a twisted vine. The lid is marked as well as the bottom of the teapot. This dates to late Qing or early Republic. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.

This is a lovely painted plate showing a figure walking under a Japanese gate along a pathway that is surrounded on both sides by water. There is a boat tied up and a sailboat shown along a quiet body of water. Mt Fuji stands majestically in the background. The plate is 10 inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches high. The plate has the green hand painted Nippon mark. Circa 1910. There are a couple of very small paint flecks missing near along the Japanese gate. Wallop was a very interesting character and I found him referenced in one publication as having the disposition of a vampyre. This early 19th century drabware plate is 8 ¼ inches in diameter. It has very detailed molding around the plate. There are no markings. We date this circa 1830. It is in very good condition with two tiny chips on the edges that are hard to find. There are a couple of small areas that have reddish brown stains. This Japanese wood netsuke is 2 by 1 3/8 inches. It is carved into a mask with very fine detail. It is signed on the back but we can not identify the signature. There is no damage. For display purposes a nail was placed in the back so it could be displayed on a base. The base is NOT included. This piece came from the estate of Alfons Bach. This bust is of Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859). Humboldt was a naturalist, an explorer and a diplomat among other things. He is well known for documenting his travels, especially in Latin America. The bust is 9 inches tall. It is made of terracotta with a black covering on it which I assume is a painted patina. SOLD 

This bolo tie is approximately 46 inches long. It is leather with silver tips on the end. It has a clasp that is made of Mexican silver that slides up and down. The clasp is 1 9/16 inches in diameter. It is a very detailed casting and I think it must be sometime of Aztec sign. There is hand wrought silver around the edges. The bottom of the clasp is signed TV-11, Taxco 925, AVE and Mexico. This is circa 1980. There is no damage.
