This is for a wonderful pair of jade cups or bowls. The bowls are each 3 inches across and 1 1/8 inches high. The cups are very thin and are a variegated green and white throughout. The bowls have been scratch tested and confirmed that they are jade. One of the bowls has a sticker on the bottom where it was bought in China and the other has the remnants of the sticker. This pair of jars is 4 inches tall and 4 ½ inches in diameter. The pieces portray children playing around a boy holding a flag on a turquoise ground. The jars are mirror image. They are hand painted and the workmanship is very good. They have a hand painted black 4 character Qianlong mark on the bottom of each. We date them Circa 1935. This charming netsuke is 1 ¾ inches tall by ¾ inches wide. It is of a man with a beard with a staff. We believe it is Jurojin, one of the Japanese lucky Gods. He is the God of Wisdom. The piece is either ivory or bone. We believe it dates to the early to mid 20th century. It is not signed. There is some light cracking on the piece along the edge.

This earthenware bowl is 11 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The bowl has a wonderful turquoise crackle glaze. The edges of the bowl and underside have a brown color and it has been potted where it has a rougher texture. On the top edges there is a green glaze sitting on top of the brown in some spots. This earthenware vase is 5 5/8 inches tall and 3 ¼ inches in diameter at the widest point. It is hand painted with an assortment of flowers on the front. It is set on a yellowish background. There is a reddish border painted around the top of the vase. It is signed on the bottom in very small letters. We have not been able to interpret the signature. We date the vase to the 1920’s or 1930’s.

This covered cup is beautifully decorated with three panels with various mountain ranges. Two of the mountain ranges have water in the foreground. The panels are set among pink and white flowers. The cup is 2 3/4 inches tall and 2 5/8 inches in diameter. The lid is 3 inches in diameter. Inside the bottom of the cup are painted two flowers. The cup is signed on the bottom in red. The first two characters mean Sat-suma. We have not been able to interpret the artist though it ends with zan or yama. ...click for details

This carved lacquer tray is 3 7/8 inches long and 3 inches wide. The cinnabar is on an iron base. It is hand carved and took marks can be seen. There is a spot on the foot where the cinnabar has broken off the iron rim. There is no other damage. We date this to 1880, though it could be earlier.

This Yixing teapot is 8 inches long, 4 inches high and 5 inches deep. The underside of the lid is marked as well as the bottom of the teapot. This dates to the Cultural Revolution period. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.

This Yixing teapot is 7 ½ inches long, 3 ¾ inches high and 3 ¾ inches deep. The handle on the lid is in the shape of a root or vine as well as the decoration on the side. The underside of the lid has a mark in the shape of a double gourd. The bottom of the teapot has a mark as well. There are also 3 cups included that can be seen in one of the pictures. The teapot has a tiny chip under the lid. There is no other damage. The cups have no damage. This dates to the mid 20th century.

This charming little teapot is 3 ¾ inches long, 3 inches high and 2 ¾ inches deep. The handle and spout have a bamboo look to them. The piece has a nice patina. It is signed on the bottom with 4 characters. The lid has a mark in it as well. There is a very tiny chip on the lid, otherwise there is no damage.
