This fine porcelain figurine of a male mermaid modeled underneath a shell would make an excellent centerpiece. The piece depicts a man with a tail fin as one would see on a mermaid set among cat tails and other reeds as one would find around the water. These items are cast underneath a large scalloped shell. The work is extraordinary with heavy use of gilding and very fine detail.
