| These five brown transferware plates were made by Louis Lebeuf & Thibault of Montereau France. The plates are just over 8 inches in diameter. The plates each have different decoration on them. The plates are Le Tasse, La Bourse, Palais De Justice, Place Louis XV and La Danse. The plates have impressed marks on them of LL&T and Montereau. None of the marks are complete but between the plates the LL&T can be made out. We date these to around 1840. There are knife marks on all of the plates. There are a few rim frits but the design goes over them so they were done in firing. There is also two tiny rim frits on one plate that look quite old. | ||
