| This oil painting is of a schooner at sea with some other ships in the background. The painting is 14 ½ X 18 ½ inches. The painting is unsigned but we are attributing it to James Gale Tyler. The painting has a light from the cabin that can be seen reflecting across the waves which is pretty common in Tyler’s painting. The moon can be seen in the background. If not Tyler, the painting is by one of his followers from the time that he worked. The painting is in a frame from the same period as the painting, which we believe is the late 1800’s. There is no damage. The frame has some minor chips and is a little loose. | ||
