This stained glass panel is part of a collection of 4 stained glass panels made in Grenoble, France by the painter glass maker Antoine Bessac of the Ateliers Bessac. The Ateliers were founded in 1860 by the artist’s grandfather. One of the panels is signed by the artist (see the WHEAT SHEAF stained glass panel). These stained glass panels were installed until recently on "Le Centre Missionnaire Oblat in Montreal".

True masterpieces, these stained glass panels were completely restored in Montreal, Quebec, Canada by Vitrum Opus, specialists in restoration of stained glass. The lead cames were resoldered, reinforcement bars (T bars) were added to increase the stability and a zinc frame was added all around the stained glass for the same reason. We were assured that the 4 stained glass panels were done by the same artist, using the same technique and the same antique glass. We have these items on consignment from their owners.
