A nicely made Shiwan pottery figure depicting the famous Tang Dynasty "Drunken Poet" Li Taibai, standing by his wine jar. The figure bears two seals on its inside wall, one reads "Liang Yan Jun zuo"(made by Liang Yan Jun); the other reads "Sheng Yuan Tao zao", which is Liang's store seal. Liang Yan Jun was a well known pottery artist who was active in Shiwan during the 1930 - 1940's. The figure is in excellent condition. Height: 12-1/4".
