An Antique Chinese Shoushan soupstone seal carved by Qing Dynasty artist Yan Kun. Signed Sufu - studio name of Yan Kun. Dimensions: 2-1/2" X 1" X 1".

An Antique bamboo armrest carved a line of verse in running cursive on it. Qing Dynasty. The armrest is in excellent condition. Dimensions: 12-3/8" X 2-7/8".

A pair of Chinese famille rose bowls, decorated with gourd and butterfly motifs on green grounds. Gourds and butterflies together have an auspicious hidden meaning of "Guadie Mianmian (瓜瓞绵绵)” - may there be ceaseless generations of sons and grandsons. There are six character "Daqing jiaqing nianzhi" marks inside the foot rims, and of the period. Condition: nearly perfect condition,the only flaw is one tiny chip on the rim. Please refer photos for details. Diameter:7"; Height: 3-1/2".

The motif of an elephant with a vase on its back has an auspicious meaning of "peaceful times (taiping youxiang 太平有象 - when there is peace, there are signs)". This motif was popular in Qing Dynasty, we date this one to 19th century. The elephant is in perfect condition. Length:9-1/2"; height: 9-1/2".

A Japanese bulbous shaped bronze censer on four supports. There is a rectangular, three characters mark on the bottom - "Cast by Suiun". 19th Century. Condition: Nice patina; there are restorations on two locations, please see enlargement #2 and #6 for details. Diameter: Approximately 6-1/2"; height: 3".

A Han style (maybe of the period) white jade cicada in simple design and carved with clean lines showing superior craftsmanship. We date it Qing Dynasty or earlier, but it was probably from Han Dynasty. Condition: there are some calcification on the tip of the wings, which caused some tiny chips; some age veins on the lower part of the cicada (please see photo #4 and #5 for details). Length: 7 cm; width: 3.5 cm.

A Japanese Painted wood statue of Kannon Bosatsu. 19th century. Condition: small chips and age cracks, please refer to photos for condition detail, addition photos will be provide upon request. Height: 9-7/8". Weight: 46 OZ, heavy for a wood statue at this size. Provenance: Former collection of retired Professor D. Gibbs of University of California

A pale green nephrite pendant carved as a statue of two boys. Chinese, 19th century. Good condition, please refer to photos for condition details. Height: 1-7/8".

A celadon-glazed porcelain vase in the shape of a drum. Decorated with slightly raised bands on top and bottom, and a pair of molded mask and ring handles on the shoulder. 19th century. Good condition with very tiny glaze flakes on the edge of the top rim. Please see photos for details. Height: 5-3/8".

A Chinese small box made of zitan wood on the walls and huanghuali wood on the bottom. A very thinly carved jade cover decorated with a picture on top depicting a scholar holds a lotus flower walking under a pine tree in a rocky mountain. Condition: age cracks on wood; there are multiple long cracks and chips on the jade cover. Please study photos carefully for condition details. Additional photos will be provided upon request. A Chinese porcelain gourd-shaped vase in coral-red glaze. "Daqing Jiaqing Nianzhi" six characters mark inside the foot rim, and of the period. The vase is in excellent condition: no chip, no crack, no restoration, but just a few glaze scratches. Height: 6".

Chinese porcelain cup decorated with famille rose enamel depicting a scene of scholars and children playing. "Qianlong Nianzhi" four character mark inside the foot rim, but made in 19th century. Excellent condition, the only flow is some gilt losing. Height: 2-1/4"; diameter: 3".

A Chinese celadon-glazed porcelain vase with shape of an ancient cong, decorated with eight trigrams (bagua) on all four sides of the vase. A six-characters "Daqing Tongzhi Nianzhi" mark is inside the foot rim, and of the period. There are two long kiln cracks between the foot rim and the body of the vase (see photos #5 and #6), and three very short kiln cracks on the body. There is no damage to the vase other than these kiln faults. Additional photos will be provided upon request. Height: 11-1/2".

A pair of extremely rare small porcelain dishes decorated with "qianjiang cai （淺絳彩）”， depicting a scene of rice transplanting on one dish, and a scene of rice harvest on another. Qianjiang Cai was a kind of enamel similar to Famille Rose, it was favored by Chinese scholars in late Qing Dynasty. Some researches said it was created in Xianfeng period, others argued that the using of this enamel should be as early as Daoguang period. These dishes bearing the four character "Daoguang Nianzhi" marks, and we believe that they were made in the period. Therefore, these dishes are valuable evidences for proving the qianjiang cai was created in Daoguang period. Condition: Excellent condition, the only flaws are the color and gilt fading. Diameters: 2-3/4".

A trumpet-mouth porcelain vase (觀音瓶）decorated with Mirror-black glaze (烏金釉). Six under-glaze-cobalt characters "Daqing Kangxi Nian Zhi" mark inside the foot rim, 18/19th century. Condition: foot rim ground; three chips on the foot rim; scratches on glaze. Height: 13-5/8".
