Fine impressionist Oil Painting on board, by listed Soviet artist, Vasili (also, Vasiley) Andrrianovich Zaitchenko (1912-1980s), of Barges on the Black Sea. Zaitchenko was born in Odessa which was then part of the Soviet Union, and which gained its independence as part of the Ukraine subsequent to his death. His works rarely come on the market, and we are pleased to offer this piece. His signature, in Cyrillic, is in the lower left corner, along with the date, "58." It measures 9" x 13" (22.86 x 33.02 cm), framed to 12" x 17" x 1.5" (30.48 x 43.18 x 3.81 cm) in contemporary giltwood. Some slight craquelure, overall excellent condition. c. 1958. $25 US Shipping. |
