ARTS & CRAFTS AESTHETIC TILE. Low Relief and Monochromatic Botanical Design by J. & J.G. Low, of Chelsea, MASS. The low relief design has a pleasing olive glaze. The plant is probably modelled on a American wild flower. The pooling of the glaze in the crevisses gives a nice contrast between deep to light olive coloring. It is in very good condition, with two small glaze losses, on the center stem and the last leaf on the lower right hand side. Probably made around 1890.
