AESTHETIC MINTON POMEGRANATE PLATE, 10' diam, w. gilding, retailed by Davis Collamore, New York, c. 1880 This handsome asymmetrical design of ripe pomegranates on branches is a transfer in rust red, with hand painted deeper rust red, and gilded flowers and pomegranate seeds. The background of very light cream (in contrast to the white bone china or porcelain shown on the back) is scattered with tiny spokes in wheels with an enameled gilded spot on the end of each spoke.
