SPLENDID DANISH SECCESSIONIST BRASS CANDELBRA WITH FIVE SCONCES
The five sconces sit on a large curve which unifies the two arms for the sconces. The canedelabra has a linear design, with subdued curves in the design of the arms for the sconces. A stylized rose appears at the base of each of the sconces. These “roses” are similar to the roses introduced by the Scottish designer, Charles Mackintosh. The candelabrum is in very good condition. TALL ARTS & CRAFTS BRASS CANDLESTICKS in the style of Robert Jarvie, Chicago. This pair of brass candlesticks, almost Art Nouveau, is unsigned, and closely resembles Jarvie's Delta designs. They have tulip forms on long stems with flat disc bases. The bowls are globe shaped with flat lipped edges with small flare. The candelabras are 12 1/2" tall with 5 1/2" square base. A round 3 1/2" diameter beveled glass mirror is set into a square filigree frame decorated with floral motifs and grapes.
