This rare Aesthetic Meriden cylindrical lamp base has a bronze base with incised or carved floral design. The cylinder itself is probably Britannia metal and has received a matte black finish. They lamp cylinder is decorate with gilded applied flowers and leaves. The bronze rim over the top is like a mushroom cap, with geometric designs.
