(Description in progress.) The plate has intense colors. I have slowly amassed a collection of these plates. Apart from being spectacular as part of table settings, they are also spectacular as groups on cabinet shelf, or on the wall.

During the early 20th Century, Doulton increased the number of artisans and artists who created new designs, many of them geometrical, but still based on flora and foliage, as well as some Persian influences. The colors tend to be intense and the color combinations have an edge to them.
