This very rare Japanese-influenced frame has a border of moulded fans with round fans for corner finials. There is a very narrow outermost beaded frame. The brass mirror has a very decorative Aesthetic or Eastlake top panel design of stylized flowers, buds and leaves entwined on a trellis. It is unmarked, but is similar to some Bradley & Hubbard mirror sconces or could possibly be by a Philadelphia maker.. The beveled mirror is original, with some age discoloration and could be resilvered but otherwise, the mirror sconce is in very good condition. The mirror is 15 1/2" long and 7" wide.
