Here is a beautiful and rare set of the Greek Musicians series. One of the series appears on P.97 of Maureen Batkin’s book, Wedgwood Ceramics 1846-1959. These images were initially designed as tiles, and later adapted to plate designs, with the addition of a Classical leaf border. The plates are polychrome with brilliant colors. Condition is excellent, without chips, cracks or hairlines.
