| MINTON AESTHETIC MOVEMENT MOON FLASK, Pierre Mallet Ducklings This moon flask was designed by Pierre Mallet as part of duckling series. The moon flask form with this design is quite rare. The flask is approximately 6 inches in width and 6.5 inches tall. The disk shaped flask is 2 inches from front to back. It stands on four blocky squared feet. The images include a tiny duckling breaking through its egg shell, a brightly colored butterfly and a voracious duckling that is so hungry that he commits an unspeakable act! Look closely! The black transfer design has been hand painted. The Moon Flask is a handsome example of the Duckling series, with some fine hairlines which go from the neck of the flask down about 1.5 inches on side, and a larger number of hairlines which travel down from the neck on the side about 3 inches. There are no other crazing or hairlines. The plates are hard to find, but finding a moon flask in the series is almost like finding hen’s teeth! | ||
