Description: Customize your home or office with hand-crafted sliding shoji doors! EW Gallery offers this new highly personalized service that allows you to select the size, pattern, and type of wood to match your existing decor. Please visit our Shoji Door web page for more information, or contact us directly at 1-800-275-5588.

We utilize primarily tight-grain western red cedar or Alaskan yellow cedar, but other varieties of wood are available. We offer a number of stains and sealants for the wood. We also utilize an acrylic rice paper which is extremely durable, and does not crack or fade over the years. There are many different patterns and colors to choose from.

Our premium service is designed mainly for the higher end installations in and around the San Diego, California area. We will work with you to select the design and layout that is right for you. Next, our highly experienced contractor will come to your home and take precise measurements. Your door will be constructed and then installed by us to ensure a perfect fit.

Our standard service is designed to allow you to get more involved in the process. It is also designed to offer custom shoji doors to customers outside of the greater San Diego area. As stated above, we will work with you to make your decisions, however you will provide the exact measurements needed to construct the door. Once the door has been created, we ship it to you and either you can install it, or we can provide you with a list of contractors in your area who can install it for you.

Regardless of the service you choose, we can also integrate many other Japanese items into your shoji design. Ranma panels can be added above the doors, and you can replace the lower hip board with a variety of bamboo and reed material. The possibilities are virtually limitless. Let your imagination run wild!
