A PAIR OF ETRUSCAN BRONZE SITULA FITTINGS
A fine pair of fittings in the form of heads of Acheloos. Each head with prominent facial details, with finely-incised moustache, beard, short incised wings projecting from the sides and wearing a cap surmounted by a ring for the attachment of the handle. Original rivets on back. 5th Century B.C. Height: 1 1/4 inches. Length: 1 1/2 inches. From a NYC collection.
