In a lovely purple blue named after the flowering vine, Wisteria found at Louis C. Tiffany's home Laurelton Hall, Tiffany Studios has created a wonderful wine glass as a tribute to flowers. The white art glass base of this uniquely shaped Quezal Shade has highlights which are a rainbow of colors. To create a ribbed effect, there are subtle lines of a slightly deeper iridescent tone in the glass. The applied gold zipper design of the 4.5" shade is in pristine condition as is the entire shade. Clearly meant to look like the head of a flower, this tulip shaped Tiffany Studios Favrile Art Glass shade has a Spring green pulled feather design over a light cream color, highly reflective base. The cream color has a chartreuse tone to it. The shade is 4 7/8th" high and has a 2.25" the rim for the fitter. On that rim, "L.C.T." is engraved. The shade is in excellent condition.
Turtleback Favrile tiles are a signature element of Louis C. Tiffany's murals, fireplace mantels and Tiffany Studios lamps. This is an extremely large Tiffany Favrile Turtleback Tile in shades of green, ranging for a light lime, to a deep moss green with patches of Forest green, almost black. The tile is in perfect condition, as if it had never been used. It is 5.5" by 4.25". The surface varies in height, but at the highest point, it is 1".
This is Quezal Shade Number 238 as identified in Darrah Roberts book. One half of the decoration on the 5" shade is a deep green and gold drape on a cream base, with the second half of the shade having a gold drape bordered in green decoration. On the inside of the small rim is engraved in black: "Quezal". The shade is in mint condition. This is a Collector's dream come true. (See Darrah H. The design of this Tiffany Studios Bronze lamp is unique in several ways. Tiffany's favorite floral motif is observed in the way the 14.5" high lamp's harp appears to be graceful, entwining limbs of a tree and the lovely brown/green patina. So as not to interfere with the design, the lamp is turned on by twisting the finial at the very top of the lamp. The decoration on this Louis C. Tiffany Studios bottle shaped vase is reminiscent of the early Tiffany Corona period designs. The colors are a deep and vibrant: gold, magenta, electric blue, purple and green. The vase's fabulous iridescent highlights are silver, silvery green and a pure sky blue. Tiffany Studios produced this amazing folded and pinched sided blue bottle form vase. Note the midnight blue, purple, silver and silvery green highlights on this 5.25" high vase. The entire vase is lightly feathered, with clearer feathering definition at the rim. It is engraved on its base: "L.C.T. N1282". The vase is in excellent condition.
For the Collector, this is a L.C.Tiffany Studios Favrile white calcite shade with an unusually broad King Tut Golden Swirl design. The gold swirl on this bell shaped shade has heavy magenta highlights. The shade is 5.25" high with a 2.25" opening for the fitter. It is properly signed on the rim for the fitter "L.C.T.". Rarely does one find Tiffany Studios or Tiffany Furnaces Bronze bookends in the Adam pattern, and even more rare is to find these bookends with the original finish and enameling intact. Not all of the Adam Desk pieces were enameled. These 5.75" high, by 5" deep and 4.5" wide bookends are fine examples of a family's careful care with miminum exposure to auctions and frequent sales.
