| Floriforms are and have always been synonymous with the names of Louis Comfort Tiffany and his Tiffany Studios. Very few of his flower forms demonstrate Tiffany's master of design and iridescence as well as this 6.25" golden Favrile Floriform. With its moss green leaves impressed within the layers of art glass. The leaves are echoed in the surface layers by golden and green flowers with railing vines. Tiffany loved floral decorations of all kinds and was particularly influenced by the art of the Far East. Quite simply no other Company made more beautiful designs with this motif. At the top there is a yellowish silver iridescence which, unfortunately, on the photographs has a dark almost reddish appearance. It is the opposite. On the base, there is etched "7198D L C Tiffany Favrile". Based on the suffix, the wonderful little vase was made circa 1907. It is in very good condition. | |||||||
