Description:
Original pencil and brush signed print by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950), titled High Gate in Ajmer, from the India and Southeast Asia Series, 1931. This design is illustrated at plate 161 of “The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi”, Abe Publishing Co., Ltd., 1987. There is a jizuri seal in the left margin.
The image measures approximately 14 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches, plus full margins. The print is in very good condition, aside from a small stain on reverse, that does not show through to the front. The image measures approximately 12 3/4 x 18 inches, plus full margins. There are no condition problems to note, aside from some minor tape remnants on the reverse top margin and light creasing at the right corner in the margin.

Original Japanese woodblock print Taiso Yoshitoshi (1797-1858), titled “7 PM: Preparing for New Year's Party”, 1880. This design is plate 19 in the series Twenty-four Hours at Shinbashi and Yanagibashi, which was published by Morimoto Junsaburo and carved by Hori Yata, and Horiko Enkatsu.
The image measures approximately 13 1/4 by 9 inches. The colors are very fresh, as the print comes from an album, and there are black lacquer highlights. There is minor soiling on the front and reverse.
