Original Japanese woodblock print Yamamura Toyonari (1855-1952), titled “A Jar of Dahlias”, 1924. The print measures approximately 15 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches, plus margins. It is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note, aside from a thin spot on the reverse top margin. This design was included in the 1930 Exhibition of Modern Japanese Prints held at the Toledo Musuem of Art, and illustrated at plate 207 of the exhibition catalog.

Japanese woodblock print set by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950), titled Printing of "A Junk" Process Set, ca 1939. The set includes 5 prints, plus an explanatory sheet, showing the colors and blocks used to develop a finished print. There is a stamp signature on print number 4 and 5, as in all examples of this set. This design is illustrated as plates 257 and 258 of the Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi, Abe Publishing Co., Ltd., (Tokyo, 1987).
These prints are in excellent condition, with extremely vivid colors. The images measure approximately 6 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches.

It has a brush signature in the image and there is also a jizuri seal in the upper left margin, denoting that Yoshida had approved of the quality of the print. This design is illustrated at plate 183 of Ogura, Tadao et. al., The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi, Abe Publishing Co., Ltd., (Tokyo, 1987).
This print is in excellent condition, with extremely vivid colors, although there are three spots of foxing at the top center margin. The image measures approximately 9 5/8 x 14 3/4 inches, plus full margins.
