Original Japanese woodblock print Taiso Yoshitoshi (1797-1858), titled “I Want the Good Ones”, from the series A Collection of Desires, 1878. This series was published by Inoue Shigehei. Early printing with a three-color series cartouche.
The image measures approximately 13 3/4 by 9 5/8 inches. The colors are very fresh, as the print comes from an album. There is some faint foxing near the top left corner.

Original Japanese woodblock print Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858), titled “Driving Rain, Shono”, from the series Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido Road (also known as the Hoeido Tokaido), 1833. This is one of the top designs of the series, as well as one of Hiroshige’s most sought after designs among all his work.
