Original Japanese woodblock print in the form of a triptych by Watanabe Nobukazu (1874-1944), titled "Occupation of Port Arthur by the Japanese", 1895. This triptych has very fresh colors, with black lacquer and metallic highlights. It measures approximately 14 x 27 3/4 inches, fully assembled. The left and center sheets are attached, the right sheet is loose, and there is paper residue along reverse edges.The number "24" was stamped to the left of the title cartouche by the original collector who put together the album that contained this print.

Original Japanese woodblock print by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), titled "Shoki Capturing a Demon in a Dream", c. 1890, from the 36 Ghost Series. This print is a first state, as evidenced by the tri-color title cartouche. The image measures 13 1/4 x 9 inches, plus margins. This print is in very good condition, with
only a quarter inch long sliver printing void in background and light creasing in the top margin to note.
