Original painting on silk by Natori Shunsen (1886-1960), depicting an actor under a kotatsu. The painting measures 46 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches, and the entire scroll measures 79 by 22 inches.
The painting is in very good condition, aside from some faint spotting, and comes with a wooden storage box.

Original, first state Japanese woodblock print by Taiso Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), 1892, titled "The Good Woman's Spirit Praying in the Waterfall", from the Thirty-six Ghosts
Series. It can properly be identified as a first state printing by the three color series cartouche in the upper right corner of the image.
The image measures approximately 13 1/4 x 8 7/8 inches, plus margins. It is in very good condition, with embossing. There is a typical album backing.

Original 20th century Japanese woodblock print by Negoro Raizan (1887-?), titled "Thunderstorm at Enzan, Shiba, Tokyo", 1922 (thus a pre-earthquake design). It is illustrated at pl. 203 of "The New Wave: Twentieth Century Prints from the Robert O. Muller Collection".
The print is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note. It is mounted in its original folder. The dimensions are approximately 14 3/8 by 9 3/8 inches. Like other prints by this artist, it is fully printed to the edge.
