Original pencil signed Japanese woodblock print by Charles W. Bartlett (1860-1940), titled "The Hour of Prayer - India", 1925. This design is illustrated at plate 24 of the new Bartlett catalogue raisonne by Richard Miles. The Publisher is The Watanabe Color Print Co.
The image measures 9 7/8 x 14 5/8 inches. The colors are very fresh. The condition is also very good, with only 2 printing creases in right margin and light toning on reverse bottom margin.

This triptych has very fresh colors, with mica and metallic highlights and traces of mica in the sky above the hill. It measures approximately 14 x 27 3/4 inches, fully assembled. The left and center sheets are attached, the right sheet is loose, and there is paper residue along reverse edges. The number "14" was stamped to the left of the title cartouche by the original collector who put together the album that contained this print.

Original Japanese woodblock print titled
"The Lake at Hakone" and commonly referred to as "Hakone", 1833, by Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858). This print is the eleventh plate in one of Hiroshige's most famous and popular series, 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road (Tokaido Gojusantsuji no Ichi), published by Hoeido.
The image measures 9 x 13 3/4 inches, plus margins. There is a light centerfold. The impression is fair, the color and condition are good.

Pencil signed Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshi Yoshida (1886-1960), titled Soshu, 1940. This print is illustrated at pl. 236 of The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi, Ogura, Tadao et. al., Abe Publishing Co., Ltd., (Tokyo, 1987). It has a jizuir seal in the left margin, evidencing that Yoshida himself approved of the quality of the print. It also has both a brush signature in the image and a pencil signature in the lower right margin. According to the aforementioned Yoshida catalogue, this print was based on the sketches made during Yoshida's second trip to China as a war painter in 1939.
This print is has very good color and condition, although there is a small wrinkle in the paper in the top margin, near the left corner, and residue from a prior mount on the top reverse corners. The image measures approximately 9 ¾ by 114 ¾ inches, plus margins.

It has a red jizuir seal in the left margin, evidencing that Yoshida himself approved of the quality of the print. It also has both a brush signature in the image and a pencil signature in the lower right margin.
This print is has very good color and condition, although there is a pinholes (or thumbtack) in the top and bottom corners on the left edge of the paper, and some soiling and creasing in the margins. The image measures approximately 9 ¾ by 114 ¾ inches, plus margins.
