Original pencil signed Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled " Benkei Bridge at Asakusa", 1931. This design is illustrated at plate 323 of the Hasui catalogue raisonne by Narazki. The print was published by Watanabe Color Print Co., and is a pre-war printing, as evidenced by the publisher’s seal in the right margin. The images measures 12 ½ x 8 ¾ inches, plus full margins. It is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note aside from a light crease in bottom right corner. |
