Original Japanese woodblock print by Kaburagi Kiyokata (1878-1973), titled "The Heroine Osai, in "Yari no Gonza Kansane Katabira", 1923. This print is one of 18 designs published as supplements to "The Complete Works of Chikamatsu", which consisted of 16 volumes, plus two additional images. This print measures approximately 12 7/8 x 9 1/2 inches, plus full margins. It is in wonderful condition, aside from some light toning.
