Original Japanese woodblock print by Lilian May Miller (1895-1943) titled “Moonrise Over Ancient Gateway, Korea”, 1921. This design is illustrated at fig. 41, cat. 51 of “Between Two Worlds – The Life and Art of Lilian May Miller”, 1998, by Kendall H. Brown. The image measures 12 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches, plus margins. The colors are wonderfully fresh, and there are no condition issues to note. It is signed, sealed, .and dated. There is also a daytime version of this design, titled “The Gateway fo the Purple Hills, Korea".
