Original Japanese woodblock print by Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949), titled "Kinkakuji", c. 1930s. This print was acquired as part of a folio of sample X-mas cards distributed by the publisher Doi Hangaten. Images of the folio cover and table of contents appear below, but these are not being offered for sale. The print is in very good condition, with metallic pigments, although there is some residue on the reverse corners. The image measures approximately 5 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches, plus full margins. |
