Original, first state Japanese woodblock print by Taiso Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), 1892, titled "The Good Woman's Spirit Praying in the Waterfall", from the Thirty-six Ghosts
Series. It can properly be identified as a first state printing by the three color series cartouche in the upper right corner of the image. The image measures approximately 13 1/4 x 8 7/8 inches, plus margins. It is in very good condition, with embossing. There is a typical album backing.
