Original Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui(1883-1957), titled "Winter in Arashi Gorge", 1921. The dimensions are 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches, plus margins. It is in very good condition, with only some traces of residue on the reverse to note. It is illustrated at plate 60 of the Kawase Hasui Catalogue Raisonne. Because it was published prior to the Great Kanto Earthquake of October, 1923, in which the blocks were destroyed, there are no later printings of this design.
