Hasui Woodblock - Heiringi Temple at Nobidome
Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled Heiringi Temple at Nobidome, Tokyo, 1952. Later printing by Watanabe Color Print Co. from the original blocks. Red Watanabe Heisei seal in margin, indicating that it was printed during the reign of Emperor Akihito (commencing in 1988). Illustrated at plate 546 in Kawase Hasui Mokuhanga-shu, Narazaki (ed.), 1979. Pristine condition, measuring 14 1/8 by 9 1/2 inches, plus full margins.
