Original, , early 20th century Japanese woodblock print by
Tsuji Kako (1870-1931), depicting birds in flight. The print was recently
acquired in Japan and is from the same source as the Ohara Koson prints and
paintings exhibited at the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Museum in 1998 and in the catalogue,
titled (in English) Ohara Koson: Artist of Kacho-ga, Prints of Birds and
Flowers. It has never been framed, and the colors are excellent. However, there is some discoloration in the margins.
