Wonderful woodblock print by Paul Jacoulet (1902-1960), titled Les Jades. "Chinoise", February 2, 1940. It is pencil signed, numbered 99/350 on the reverse, and bears the Boat seal on the front. This design is illustrated at plate 63 of The Prints of Paul Jacoulet, by Richard Miles, 1982. This print is in very good condition, with wonderfully fresh colors and no problems to note. It is printed on heavy, deluxe paper. The image measures approximately 15 ½ by 11 ¾ inches, plus full margins. What appears to be a nick in the bottom margin on the right was actually done intentionally at the time of printing to assist in the alignment of the wood blocks, and is indicative of untrimmed margins. We maintain an active “Want List” for this artist. Please use our Guest Book to send us your requests.
