Japanese woodblock print by Elizabeth Keith (1887-1956), titled Forbidden City Wall, 1935. The image measures 10 x 15 inches, plus margins. Very good condition, except for some thinning on the reverse margins. The design is illustrated at plate 32 in “Elizabeth Keith: The Printed Works”, by Richard Miles. According to Miles, this print is quite rare, with fewer than 20 printed. |
