Original Japanese woodblock print Onno Bakufu (1888-1976), titled “Crucian (Funa)”, 1938. This design is Plate 8, Volume 1 of the series Familiar Fishes of Japan. This is one of the artist’s deluxe fish prints, with silver highlights. The image measures approximately 15 1/4 by 10 5/8 inches, plus full margins. It is tipped onto its original presentation folder, and accompanied by the original booklet with notes on the design. It is in very good condition, aside from some minor soiling in the image.
