1st State Yoshitoshi Woodblock - Dangerous 32 Beauties
Original Japanese woodblock print by Taiso Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) titled Dangerous: The Appearance of a Contemporary Geisha of the Meiji Era, from the series, Thirty-two Aspects of Daily Life, 1888. This is a first edition printing, with a three color title cartouche. It is illustrated at plate 28 of “Yoshitoshi's Women: The Woodblock-Print Series Fuzoku sanjuniso”, 1995 by John Stevenson.

This print is in very good condition, with no condition issues to note, aside from some faint toning at the left margin, and a printing smudge in bottom left sleeve. The image measures 14 1/8 by 9 5/8 inches, plus margins.
