Chikubosai II with wide, jar-shaped design and pedestal base.
Intricate detailing of the seven-jewel design along the base, its
embroidered central band and the sophisticated use of fine strips of
bamboo arranged

This is a charming pendant bamboo basket for ikebana display of seasonal
flowers, its small loop handle for hanging on the side. Bamboo strips, slightly
lacquered and bent, use the twining technique to form the base and the rim. The body
of this small jewel of basketry is worked with hexagonal openwork plaiting formed
